Thanks to everybody who visited us, stayed with us and made our programme interesting and lively in 2011. The Year 2011 was our birth year and we were and we are still building our identity and community with the help of all our guests.
In the end of the year we are summing up what have happened, who stayed in the Colony and in Nida Residency programme. It was only 9 months of activity but because of all of you who stayed with us they were challengingly intensive and fruitful.
The main numbers for Nida Residency programme (2011 March-December): - 3 calls for application were distributed - 5 artists/curators were applying to one studio - 41 artists have stayed in the residency longer than 1 month (1/3 of them were from Lithuania, the rest form abroad) - 9 open artist studios were organized; - 16 grants were distributed from the Colony and their partners (Nordic-Baltic mobility programme, TRACES project, Dutch Fund BKVB, Austrian Vorarlberg Region)
