The programme is open to professional artists, designers, architects, art critics, curators, art theoreticians and culture managers from Lithuania and abroad, by invitation and/or individual application. The programme is not available to students. If grants together with a call are not announced, artists should pay rent or look for grants themselves. After selection procedure, we can write supporting letter. Due to a large number of applications, we inform only selected applicants.

Selection is based on artistic merit and the quality of artistic practice. This is assessed on the basis of the following information:

- application for artist-in-residence programme (please download) - The next deadline will be announced soon (no grants available, letter of acceptance/invitation for grant seeking is issued). The recommended time of the residency is at least 2 months because you need at least 2 weeks to adjust yourself to the local conditions.
- artist statement
- activity / project proposal while in residency
- educational workshop proposal (only for those applying for a grant)
- CV
- examples of previous work (portfolio)

Applicants from outside Lithuania are expected to be fluent in English.

The selection is made by the NAC Board.

Rental fees (including monthly charges for heating, electricity, water and internet as well as use of bicycle) are:

1 June – 30 September: 412 Eur per month
1 October – 31 May: 312 Eur per month

Each residency starts the 1st of the month, only whole months are available.

Deadlines for paying and grant-seeking applicants are:

- 15 February 2012, for June – December2012 residencies
- 15 June 2012, for January - May 2013 residencies
